What’s Startup10?
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has funded a program called Startup10, aimed at promoting food security and youth employment in 10 Italian cooperation partner countries. CIHEAM Bari will oversee the program’s implementation over two years starting from October 2023.

Seven selected startups will undergo a six-month coaching program.

The opportunity for one startup to collaborate for an extended three-month period with an Italian company.

Legal Registration
Be formally registered for at least one year in the country of operation.
Innovation and Feasibility
- Demonstrate innovation & feasibility in the green or blue economy sector.
Market Sales
Have active sales in the market.

Meet The Startups
Seven startups will benifit from a coaching program which will span for 6 months.
About the Program
Launched in October 2023, the project aims to promote food security and youth employment in 10 partner countries of Italian cooperation (Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Tunisia, Uganda) through the strengthening of business incubators to encourage the development of local startups that present innovative solutions in the green and blue economy sectors with a focus on digitalisation.

- The selection process involves evaluating applications based on criteria such as innovation, feasibility, and active sales of the project in the market. Shortlisted startups will be invited to participate in a coaching program and pitch their entrepreneurial projects to a jury for final selection.
Applications must be submitted in the name of a formally registered company. Personal applications will not be accepted.
Any absence corresponding to 25% of the total time of participation in the training and coaching program will not allow participation in the pitch.
